The last day...

It was the last day of Lise Gujer's exhibition - A New Way of Painting - at the Brücke Museum Berlin. On display were tapestries that Lise Gujer created in collaboration with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. Anyone who knows me knows of my passion for textile art. The techniques of weaving or knitting created expressionist motifs that inevitably reminded me of the first pixel art graphics on a C64.
After the visit, I immediately sat down at the computer and tried out a few filters with Photoshop before I used the AI. I wanted to emphasise the character of the weaving, so I decided to use rectangular digits instead of square pixels.
